Timeline

1966 - Ladyburn Distillery was built within the Girvan grain distillery complex (built 1963), to secure the supply of malt whisky fillings for the blends of William Grant & Sons.

1975 - Ladyburn Distillery is dismantled as the industry suffers from over-supply.

Ladyburn whisky was bottled once only as a single malt for export to America. Otherwise the entire production was used for blending.

The Girvan grain distillery complex remains open under the continued ownership of William Grant & Sons Ltd.
