Timeline

1957-1958 - Built within the Strathclyde Grain Distillery complex by Strathclyde & Long John Distilleries Ltd., subsidiary of Seager Evans & Co. Ltd., then owned by Schenley Industries Inc. of the USA. Two stills.

1975 - Long John was sold to Whitbread & Co. Ltd.

1976-1977 - Kinclaith was dismantled to make way for an enlarged Strathclyde (1975 mentioned as well).

1982 - Distillery demolished.
