Timeline

1897-1898 - Gartloch Distillery constructed as a grain distillery by Northern Distilleries Ltd, who also owned Gerston / Ben Morven Distillery.

1900 - Northern Distilleries Ltd cease operations and the assets pass to the bond holders, the Law Union & Crown Insurance Co. Gartloch is sold by to James Calder & Co. Ltd, Owners of Bo'ness Distillery.

1900-1921 - Operated by James Calder & Co. Ltd as Gartloch Distilleries.

1921 - Purchased by the Distillers Company Ltd (DCL) and closed.

1966 - Transferred to Scottish Grain Distillers (SGD) in 1966. Demolished.
