1850 - Alexander Pearson sequestrated.

1851 - Acquired by Thomas Duncanson & Co. and re-named Newington Distillery (shown in 1853 OS map).

1856 - Thomas Duncanson & Co. dissolved.

1856-1859 - Continued by Duncanson & Co. latterly as Glen Sciennes Distillery.

1859-1919 - Purchased by Andrew Usher & Co., renamed Edinburgh Distillery and continued under that name and firm until 1919.

1919 - Sold to Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD)

1925 - Closed by Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD).
