Daill, founded by Walter Frederick Campbell, a member of the Campbell family, was operated by the McEachern family for two decades until its closure in 1834. The demise of the distillery came with difficulties in shipping the spirit to the mainland markets. The buildings by Redhouses near Bridgend still stand today.*
